What is Keepthat?
Keepthat is an AI-powered knowledge retention app. Share articles, videos, or text, and the app automatically extracts key facts. Then reinforce your memory with smart quizzes that use spaced repetition to help you actually remember what you read.
How do I add content to Keepthat?
You can add content in two ways: (1) Use the iOS Share Sheet from any app (Safari, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) to share a URL directly to Keepthat, or (2) paste a URL or text directly into the capture bar within the app.
What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
The Free tier includes 3 daily fact extractions, up to 100 total facts, and 3 daily quizzes. Pro unlocks 50 daily extractions, unlimited fact storage, 50 daily quizzes, custom notification times, data export, and custom topics.
How do I subscribe to Pro?
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap on the Pro subscription option. You can choose monthly or annual billing. Payment is handled securely through the Apple App Store.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Keepthat → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Keepthat charge, and follow the prompts to request a refund.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Open Keepthat, go to Settings, and tap “Restore Purchases.” Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Are the extracted facts always accurate?
Keepthat uses AI to extract facts from content you submit. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may sometimes contain errors or misrepresentations. We recommend verifying important facts independently. Facts are for personal learning purposes and should not be treated as professional advice.
How does spaced repetition work?
Spaced repetition is a scientifically-backed learning technique that schedules reviews at increasing intervals. When you answer a quiz correctly, the next review is pushed further out. When you get it wrong, reviews become more frequent. This optimizes long-term memory retention.
Can I export my data?
Pro subscribers can export their entire knowledge base as a JSON file from the App settings. This includes all facts, sources, categories, and metadata.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and select “Delete Account.” This will permanently delete your account and all associated data (facts, sources, quiz history, preferences). This action cannot be undone. Make sure to cancel your subscription separately through Apple before deleting your account.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your knowledge base is entirely private. We do not share your personal data with advertisers or other users. Content you submit is processed by AI solely to extract facts and generate quizzes for you. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
How do I manage notifications?
Open Keepthat, go to Settings, and use the notification toggles to enable or disable daily quiz reminders and review alerts. You can also customize the time of day you receive reminders. All notifications are local to your device.
My daily extraction limit reset, but it still shows the old count?
The daily counter resets at midnight UTC. If you’re in a different timezone, the reset may not align with your local midnight. Try closing and reopening the app after the reset time.
The app isn’t extracting facts from a URL. What should I do?
Some websites block automated content reading. If a URL isn’t working, try pasting the article text directly into the capture bar instead. If the issue persists, contact us with the URL and we’ll investigate.
Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, ensure you have the latest version installed from the App Store. Restarting your device can also help.
If you’re having trouble signing in with Apple, make sure you’re using the same Apple ID you originally registered with. For email/password accounts, use the “Forgot Password” option to reset your credentials.
If the Keepthat share extension doesn’t appear in the Share Sheet, scroll to the end of the app list and tap “More,” then enable Keepthat. You may need to restart your device after first installing the app.
Make sure notifications are enabled both in the Keepthat app settings and in your device’s Settings → Notifications → Keepthat. Ensure Do Not Disturb or Focus modes aren’t blocking alerts.
